For this Bellevue home, the client wanted to refresh their floors while blending the original character of the property with modern upgrades.
The main level’s classic 2.25″ white oak hardwood floors had lost their luster over time, while the upper floor and staircase needed a more contemporary look.
Our goal was simple: create a seamless flow between traditional charm and modern elegance — without “two different homes” happening between levels.

Main level: refinish the original white oak

Work process: precision meets clean execution
On the main level, our team used dust-controlled sanding to protect the home environment, then refinished the white oak with a Swedish oil-based system to bring back natural beauty and rich tone.
Upstairs, we installed wide-plank engineered hardwood designed to look sleek and modern. The staircase was rebuilt with square-nose treads for a bold, clean profile,
and we fabricated custom metal railings finished in white for both safety and a crisp architectural contrast.
