The original oak in this Ballard home had worn through its old finish, and some boards were too damaged to sand. Instead of replacing the whole floor, our installers removed the damaged boards and wove in new oak, staggering the joints so the repair blends into the original layout. Then the entire floor was sanded to bare wood and finished in a clear, natural tone that lets the grain show.
Sanding takes the floor back to clean wood, removing years of ambered finish and surface wear.
